The Free School had the most amazing performance of the Nutcracker the other night. It was adorable, funny, beautiful and full of light and life. A lot of people videotaped it so I'm hoping it'll end up on Youtube so I can link to it.

Stu was a party girl and the Snow Queen, Em was a rat and a gingerbread cookie, Robin sat in the audience and didn't try to leave once.

Teri is here and we are all enjoying being together and warm.

Today we finish wrapping presents and share a huge feast this evening.

We are starting to decorate for the holidays, and the first thing to get the royal treatment is the chandelier. We went over the top and it's amazing! Seriously, it's one of the first things people see when they come over and so far no one has failed to be blown away by it.

I am out in the studio today and the next 3 days making crowns. I have an order for 4 (!) of them that I need to get done asap! This season has been great for sales. I'm hoping that I can continue selling well into the new year. I have a few craft shows lined up after January.

The kids are happy and healthy. Lots of swimming lately at the community pool where it's warm and lovely. Also a lot of field trips from school to holiday plays, and the whole school is getting ready for their Nutcracker performance (Stu is the Sugar Plum Fairy, Emily is a rat and a gingerbread cookie, I'm even in the choir!).

Jeff is working a lot, but no interviews lately. We're still optimistic that he can find a full time teaching job, he'd be so good at it. He just needs to find some one who sees that in him. But he is starting to be called personally for a lot of jobs and that's nice.

Now that I know it's just friends reading here I can say this more easily - Love to all.

It's been a while since I posted and I just want to catch you up on what's going on here.

We went to the tree lighting ceremony in Pioneer Square a few weekends ago, that was fun and COLD! We all took the MAX downtown and had a great time doing that. There's a huge square of space where the MAX is free so we took advantage of that and discovered a few things - like it's going to be a hell of a lot easier to get to the Saturday Market from now on because the MAX stops right in the middle of it (YAY).

I've been making and selling (!) a lot of crazy sock dolls - I'm using my mad doll making skills and having a ball working with amazingly fluffy and adorable socks. The dolls are all different, I just spend some time staring at the socks and decide how to cut from there. Loads of compliments and almost $300 in sales (at $20 each). Xmas is almost paid for!

Dad is still here, getting better everyday. He'll be leaving next Monday and it will be both sad and great to have him gone. I haven't spent much time with him lately because I've been busy with the school and the kids (xmas shopping, swimming, playing, etc...). We're hoping to have the afternoon together on Friday.

As you've noticed, I've password protected my site. Sorry to make it hard to visit, but I was getting some unwanted attention. I'd like it to not be permanent, but it might just be.
