The weather here is crazy hot. Luckily for us it should be cooling down tomorrow.
We had friends over for breakfast this morning, Jeff and some of those friends went to see Obama speak, the girls went to a Naked Ladies Stitch and Bitch party. It's been a busy day.
Tomorrow I'm taking my kids to get some shorts for the hot weather we know will be here to stay for a while. I'm also picking my mom up at the airport. She's been gone 10 days and we miss her.
Next weekend is the Life is Good Conference in Vancouver. The Free School has a exhibitors table there, so I'll probably go up for a day and sit at the table and maybe meet some people I know from online unschooling groups.
The photo above is from last weekend when Austin took me to a train yard we weren't supposed to be in.

Hi, my name is heather Q - I saw your posting Metafilter about the school having a commercial kitching that you may want to rent out. I've been looking for this exact thing to start making vegan heat-and-serve meals. If you are still interested in doing this, could you please contact me heatherq@gmail.com. It just seems way to perfect.

Portland just isn't that much fun over 85 is it? I loved your pictures of the Japanese gardens. I swear I could smell the water fall! Missing you Kate. We'll be moving early July to Washington DC. Not precisely the Washington I was hoping for but that's the military for you. I hear Mt. Hood is feeding the waterfalls lots of snow melt right now. Might be some extra beautiful pictures in the gorge?
Zen Hugs all around!
